I was heading home from work around 4 PM when my vehicle suddenly broke down—right in the middle of the road near East Side Automotive. It was an embarrassing situation, but thankfully, help was just a few steps away!
Three months ago, I had spent nearly $4,000 on repairs at Graham’s Auto Clinic located in South Yellowstone Drive in Madison, including replacing all four tires, so this breakdown was beyond frustrating. I quickly ran into East Side Automotive located at 1641 E Main St, Stoughton and asked for assistance. Within seconds, two incredibly kind men came outside, carefully towed my vehicle to their shop, and provided me with a detailed estimate for the necessary repairs. The pricing was fair, but after some thought, I decided to trade in the car and purchase a new one instead.
My vehicle stayed at their shop for several days, and they were incredibly patient throughout the process. When I returned to collect my personal belongings from the car, I asked how much I owed them for their help. To my surprise, they simply said, “No charge.” Their generosity and kindness truly stood out!
When I shared my experience with my colleagues, everyone agreed—East Side Automotive is known for its honesty, great service, and affordable prices. If you ever need car repairs in Stoughton, WI, I highly recommend them. Their professionalism, fairness, and willingness to go the extra mile make them an outstanding business to support!

Honest. Trustworthy. Fair. They work hard to keep your cars running safely without overtaxing your bank account. They kept our kid’s car running through student teaching and the first couple years of teaching so they didn’t have a car payment. We like to push our cars to 300,000 miles if we can. It’s a lot easier to do with Eastside Automotive.

Very nice people. I was home visiting my mom from Phoenix and my rental car had a tire go flat. I figured there was a nail in it so I took it to them to see if it could be fixed to try to prevent me from having to take the rental all the way back to Madison and switch it out. They found that it was on the sidewalk and there were two of them so it could not be fixed but they were very kind and put the spare tire on for me so I could get to Madison safely and switch the rental car out. Very kind and my mom is now going to start taking her car there because of it. As a business owner myself, I appreciate small businesses that go above and beyond and are just honest.
